Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20, 2015

Hermann Heritage Days, featuring MO Civil War Reenactors Association Max-Effort Event

There will be a citywide celebration of Hermannís unique history and heritage on September 19th and 20th, 2015. The weekend will feature a Civil War reenactment with Union and Confederate soldiers participating in battles, town skirmishes and cannon pyrotechnics. Old-time crafts will be demonstrated throughout the town.

Dr. Gladys Caines-Coggswell, master storyteller, will talk about the slave experience with three performances on Saturday. Local historians Raymond Ham and Steve Mueller will hold a lively Civil War period political debate with three performances on Sunday. These performances will take place in the Big Red Barn on the Hermann Farm at 11am, noon, and 1pm.

One ticket will get you into the Hermann Farm, Deutschheim State Historic Site, and the Historic Hermann Museum on both days of this special weekend.
